This February, our charity members all took part in the promotional films funded by the NHS and ICB to raise awareness of the work we do and our amazing support tool, our app better u.
We spent two days at various locations and produced three short films which will give the wider community the opportunity to hear from our Youth Mental Health Ambassadors, our Trustees and Directors about how we are helping young people to find innovative ways to support their mental health and well-being in ways that work for them.
In these you will hear from our young people, trustees and directors on how the support tool created by our young ambassadors can be used as a trusted resource and organisations will also be able to understand how they can support us.
Our Ambassadors undertook an accredited course in Youth Mental Health First Aid training to ensure that they have a greater understanding of the complex issues surrounding the Mental Health of their generation and how they can support their peers.
We were proud to be part of this pilot in this area run by Kent County Council to offer the training to 16-18 year olds, all who took part found it to be very informative.
Well done to all our Youth Mental Health Ambassadors!

They showcased our mental health support tool that they created - better u, and explained how this tool can be accessed and used by their generation to improve their lives and also to access a diverse range of supportive organisations in a way that is familiar to them.
We are so proud of the work they do and the lives they will save.
